Job summary

Emily Program is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct care for clients undergoing treatment for eating disorders. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and support clients through daily activities, meals, and recovery-oriented activities.

The role includes full-time days, part-time days, and PRN shifts, with day and night schedules available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher or at least 2 years of healthcare experience in a similar position preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold professional boundaries and create a safe, respectful environment for clients.
• Provide compassionate care, assist with daily activities, monitor mealtimes and structure routines.
• Monitor client behavior and health, document observations, and report changes to the team.
• Ensure client safety, follow safety protocols, respond to crises, and use de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Engage clients in recreational or social activities and reinforce therapies.
• Facilitate therapeutic activity groups (art, music, journaling, mindfulness) to support recovery.
• Provide clients with transportation as needed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree or higher or healthcare experience 2 years preferred

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field preferred
