Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Joplin, MO is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct care and support treatment plans within a compassionate, collaborative environment.

You will monitor clients, assist with daily activities, document behaviors, facilitate group sessions, and transport clients when needed. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to ensure a safe, therapeutic setting.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent and two years of responsible employment.
• Experience in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients.
• Monitor vital signs and escalate when medical intervention is needed.
• Supervision checks per policy and safety plans.
• Assist with personal care as needed (grooming, bathing, dressing).
• Document reported behaviors and concerns.
• Encourage adherence to program expectations and inform treatment team.
• Prepare for and facilitate group rehabilitative support or recreation groups.
• Provide transportation to appointments as needed.
