NOVA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, INC. is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor to provide compassionate, evidence-based counseling and intervention services in Dayton, Ohio.

The role involves assessing clients, developing personalized treatment plans, and facilitating sessions to promote emotional well-being and resilience. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and education for clients and families, empowering them to manage mental health conditions effectively

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and active license in the State of Ohio.
• LSW or LPC licensure is required.
• 1-3 years of AoD/mental health experience.
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or group counseling within licensure.
• Complete assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, and documentation.
• Assist clients in identifying treatment goals and coping skills.
• Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups as assigned.
• Monitor client progress and communicate changes to the treatment team.
• Attend treatment team meetings, case consultations, and supervision.
• Coordinate with nursing, case management, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
