Job summary

MBK Senior Living seeks an Assistant Caregiver to support residents with daily activities and enhance quality of life. This entry-level position offers hands-on training under Certified Caregivers and opportunities to obtain caregiver certification.

You will work under supervision in a team-focused environment, providing compassionate care, assisting with ADLs, and helping ensure residents’ safety and well-being while developing your skills and career in senior living.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old (cannot obtain Caregiver certification until age 18)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have current Food Handler’s Card, Adult CPR and Basic First Aid Training
• Ability to read and interpret documents; speak effectively to residents, family or staff

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with showers, dressing and other ADLs as directed
• Help with daily activities and basic care under supervision of Certified Caregivers
• Perform light housekeeping in resident areas as necessary
• Interact with residents to provide companionship and monitor needs
• Report issues to the DHS and Executive Director promptly
• Maintain professional appearance and respect privacy and confidentiality
• Support other departments to ensure a safe work environment
