Job summary

The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a dedicated part-time Animal Transport Driver to join our team at the Rob and Melani Walton Papago Park Campus. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday from 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with a focus on safe animal transport and compassion.

As part of shelter operations, you will move animals to and from off-site adoption locations, meet behavioral and medical criteria, and support staff with mail and supply delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• At least one year of prior work experience.
• Experience with animal handling is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to pass drug and background screening; safety-sensitive role.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport animals to and from off-site locations, shelters, and events.
• Assist in determining movement of adoptable animals meeting location criteria.
• Support shelter staff with transportation of animals, mail, and supplies.

Skills

One year of work experience
