Job summary

Compass Post Acute Rehabilitation is seeking an Activities Director to lead engaging programs in a skilled nursing setting in Conway, SC. You will plan community activities, support resident involvement, and collaborate with staff to enhance quality of life.

Experience in long-term care and active licensure as an Activities Director is required or preferred; the role offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for career advancement within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Activities Director in a Skilled Nursing Facility and/ or long-term care preferred.
• Activity Director Certification/License is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans community activities that involve residents, staff, families and the community.
• Provides residents opportunities for involvement in group and individual leisure pursuits.
• Invites and encourages residents’ participation in activities.
• Supports residents' right to self-determination; documents refusals of activities.
• Assists residents in organizing and implementing Resident Council Meetings.

Duties:

• Plans community activities that jointly include the community, staff, families and residents

• Provides residents with opportunities and support for involvement in group and individual leisure pursuits (i.e. arts/crafts, community outings, religious activities, intellectual/educational activities, community/center service activities) based upon individual interests and needs.

• Invites/encourages residents’ participation

• Supports each resident’s right to self-determination; Documents resident refusal of activity services offered

• Assists residents in the organization and implementation of Resident Council Meetings

Qualifications:

• Experience as an Activities Director in a Skilled Nursing Facility and/ or long-term care preferred.
• Activity Director Certification/License is required.
