  • Prepare and submit required union reports and coordinate pension and health contributions with Finance and Payroll.

  • Support artist immigration and visa processes, including O-1 visa petitions, in collaboration with the General Manager and external counsel.

Company Management & Artist Services

  • Serve as the primary Company Management contact for actors, stage managers, creative teams, and visiting artists throughout their engagement.

  • Manage all travel and housing logistics for artists and creative team members, including directors, designers, actors, stage managers, and other creatives engaged by the production.

  • Secure, negotiate, and manage artist housing accommodations and landlord relationships.

  • Coordinate transportation arrangements, including local transportation, domestic travel, and international travel when required.

  • Review and reconcile housing stipends, travel reimbursements, and petty cash expenses in accordance with approved budgets.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for artist concerns, emergencies, and sensitive matters requiring discretion and timely resolution.

Artist Wellness & Employee Relations

  • Support artist health, safety, and wellbeing throughout their engagement and coordinate resources or support services as needed.

  • Assist with workplace injury and workers’ compensation processes, including documentation, communication, and follow-through.

  • Partner with General Management, Human Resources, and Artistic leadership on workplace conduct concerns, conflict resolution, and related documentation involving company members.

Payroll, Budget & Administration

  • Build and manage Company Management budgets for each production and monitor expenses against approved projections as it pertains to travel, housing, and other artist related expenses.

  • Analyze spending, track budget variances, and provide regular financial reporting to the General Manager.

  • Oversee artist payroll administration in coordination with Finance and Human Resources.

  • Manage reimbursements, purchasing card reconciliations, petty cash, and artist-related payments.

  • Maintain accurate records, schedules, and documentation related to artist engagements, payroll, and compliance requirements.

  • Represent Geffen Playhouse professionally with artists, agents, managers, vendors, landlords, and peer institutions.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

  • Three or more years of company management, general management, production management, stage management, arts administration, or comparable experience in professional theater, live performance, or a related field.
