Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Teaneck is seeking dedicated Companions / Babysitters to provide in-home health aide services and compassionate support to clients in their homes. You will help with daily activities, offer companionship, and ensure a safe, healthy home environment.

Ideal candidates have HS diploma or GED, a driver’s license, and at least 1 year of relevant experience; dementia care is a plus. CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• Availability Mon–Thu 9 AM–5 PM.
• Dementia care experience is a plus.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• One year of professional experience preferred.
• Driver's license required.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities (bedmobility, bathing, transfers).
• Provide personal care and maintain home cleanliness as needed.
• Record patient care, progress, and observations for supervisor.
• Engage patients to support mental alertness through conversation or reading.
• Administer medication reminders.
• Encourage participation in exercises or activities.

At SYNERGY HomeCare of Teaneck, we're seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Companions / Babysitters. As a Home Health Aid, you will work directly with patients in their homes, providing personalized care and attention. If you have a big heart and a commitment to creating a healthy environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
• Provide care for patients, including changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care.
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Give medication reminders.
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities.

Qualifications

• Available from Mondays - Thursday 9 AM to 5 PM
• Prior experience in Dementia Care is a plus
