Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Teaneck is seeking a compassionate Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide one-on-one in-home care for patients in Teaneck, NJ. The role offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, maintaining patient records, and engaging patients to support mental well-being, with CPR preferred and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of professional experience.
• Driver’s license required.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
• Give medication reminders
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities
