Job summary

Avanta Care Home Care - Atlanta is seeking compassionate companions to learn and grow in the senior care industry. Our Companion Caregivers are reliable, dependable and honest, but also compassionate and caring.

You will provide companionship, assist with personal care tasks, light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, medication reminders, and transportation to appointments. Prior dementia or senior care experience is a plus, and we offer training and support to help you grow.

Qualifications

• Treat clients with dignity and respect.
• Interpret the client's plan of care.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation.
• Flexible and adaptable to new situations.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and pass safety requirements.
• Prior dementia/senior care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and conversation
• Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, and feeding
• Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen changing
• Laying out clothes and assisting with dressing
• Planning and preparing meals
• Providing medication reminders
• Providing transportation to and from appointments
• Helping family members learn safe care techniques
