Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Companion Caregiver to provide in-home services to patients/clients. The role focuses on social support, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and safety supervision in the client’s residence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• One year of experience as Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred.
• Ability to carry out tasks professionally and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries.
• Compassionate nature and strong interpersonal skills preferred.
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information via strong communication skills preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
• Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provides 'hands off' care such as socialization, mild exercise, and medication reminders.
• Supervises safety during bathing, toileting, and dressing; assists with light housekeeping and shopping.
• Arrives at the client’s home on time and completes shift as scheduled.
• Performs duties accurately and timely; observes infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides "hands off" care such as:
  • Providing and encouraging socialization
  • Encouraging a mild exercise program
  • Encouraging medication compliance through timely reminders to take medications
  • Supervising the safety of the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressing
  • Assisting with grocery-shopping; and performing light housekeeping chores
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
• Arrives at the client's home on time and leaves when shift schedule is complete
• Performs all duties in an accurate and timely manner
• Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• One (1) year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred
• Ability to carry out tasks in a professional manner and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries preferred
• Must demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong interpersonal skills preferred
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills preferred
