Pay Rate: $15.91

GENERAL SCOPE:

To provide in-home companion (non-medical) services to older adults to empower them to age in place.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION:

High school diploma or equivalent. Must have valid NYS driver’s license.

Essential Functions

• Assist with walking and light exercise
• Plan and prepare meals followed by clean up
• Learn about bathroom and kitchen safety to maintain a healthy environment
• Making beds and changing bed linens
• Light housekeeping including dusting and vacuuming
• Laundry
• Supervise household maintenance (e.g., housecleaning, plumbing, gardening)
• Run errands
• Provide incidental transportation using client or caregiver car
• In sleepover situations, assist client to and from bed, throughout the night, and with morning routines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year preferred.
