Job description

Salary: $16.50 - 19.00 / per hour

Candidate must be comfortable supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and seniors in the North West Bakersfield (North 58HWY) area.

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Companion Caregiver to provide services to patients/clients in their homes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide "hands-off" care such as:
• Encouraging socialization and mild exercise
• Reminding clients to take medications
• Supervising safety during bathing, toileting, and dressing
• Assisting with grocery shopping and light housekeeping
• Performing other duties as assigned
• Arrive on time and complete scheduled shifts
• Perform duties accurately and promptly
• Follow infection control procedures to safeguard clients

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Preferred: 1 year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Provider
• Ability to maintain professionalism and boundaries
• Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills
• Effective communication skills
• Proficiency in English and computer skills
