Job summary
Heartland Veterinary Partners LLC is seeking a Veterinarian to examine and treat companion animals, operate diagnostic equipment, and interpret results. You will advise owners on preventative care and treatment options and may work at our sister practices in St Joseph and Paynesville.
The role requires a DVM/VMD from an AVMA-accredited school, current state licensure, and eligibility for DEA/BNDD. You will maintain medical records, uphold veterinary ethics, perform surgery as needed, and support
Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- Active state licensure and DEA/BNDD eligibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with assistance for heavier lifting.
Responsibilities
- Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
- Advise owners on preventive care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
- Provide end-of-life care counseling.
- Maintain patients' medical records and ensure ethics compliance.
