Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Companion Animal Supervisor to oversee health, care, and presentation of live animals while driving sales, customer experience, and operational excellence within the Companion Animal and Aquatics departments.

The role requires supervisory experience in a pet retail environment, strong animal care knowledge, and excellent communication skills. This is a full-time, on-site position at a Pet Care Center with opportunities for growth and leadership

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
Minimum 1+ year supervisory experience in a pet retail setting.
Strong knowledge of companion animals, aquatics, and animal care practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Strong focus on customer service and people development.

Responsibilities

Ensure health, safety, and well-being of live animals per Petco standards and veterinary protocols.
Coach and mentor partners to deliver confident, knowledgeable customer interactions.
Drive sales, margins, and shrink goals in Companion Animal and Aquatics.
Lead by example in selling behaviors and customer service expectations.
Train, coach, and develop partners in animal care and operational routines.
Support Pet Care Center operations, safety, and compliance.
