Job summary

Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners Lowville location seeks a Full Time Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose, service and repair compact construction equipment, focusing on hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.

The role covers both shop and field work under the Mobile Service Manager. You will prepare accurate reports, document time and parts, and ensure deadlines and customer satisfaction are met.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with heavy equipment and/or compact construction equipment.
• Experience performing service repairs and maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to meet performance metrics.
• Experience using special tools and equipment for repairs.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures and tools.
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks; Service ADVISOR preferred.
• Teamwork and effective written and verbal communication.
• Must have a working toolset to perform duties.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on customer or dealer-owned equipment.
• Repairs in shop or field with direction from Mobile Service Manager.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical and powertrain systems.
• Complete service reports, track time and parts charged/returned.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by meeting deadlines and needs.
• Complete scheduled repairs safely and efficiently; keep areas clean and safe.
