Job summary

Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain compact construction equipment in the shop and in the field under the Mobile Service Manager. You will work on hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems, complete service reports, and ensure safety and quality housekeeping.

A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more experience with Heavy Equipment and/or Compact Construction Equipment.
• Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge performing service repairs.
• Demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred.
• Experience performing repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following.
• Technical Manual procedures on machines of the Technicians specialty.
• Experience with the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, or heavy equipment.
• Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
• Experience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR or other computer based diagnostic repair tools preferred.
• Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
• Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair compact construction equipment, focusing on hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.
• Perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance in shop and in the field under guidance.
• Ensure documentation is completed accurately; service reports, time tracking, and parts handling.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by meeting needs and deadlines.
• Complete scheduled repairs safely and efficiently; keep areas clean and equipment properly stored.
