Job summary

Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners in Canton, NY is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Technician to service and repair compact construction equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform scheduled maintenance, and work in a shop or on-site with guidance from the Mobile Service Manager.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience, a valid driver's license, and your own toolset. Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge, plus the ability to follow manuals and safety rules, are

Qualifications

• 2 years or more experience with Heavy Equipment and/or Compact Construction Equipment.
• Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge performing service repairs.
• Demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred.
• Experience performing repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures on machines of the technician's specialty.
• Experience with the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, or heavy equipment.
• Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
• Experience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR or other computer-based diagnostic repair tools preferred.
• Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
• Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred.

• Maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring customer needs and deadlines are met.
• Complete all scheduled repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure equipment and parts areas are in excellent, safe operating condition.
• Adhere to all safety rules and maintain quality housekeeping in shop area.
