AC Hotel Reston / Residence Inn Reston in Reston, VA is seeking a meticulous Comp Services Attendant/Server to join our kitchen and service team. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced hotel restaurant setting.

Salary Range: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Position Summary

Responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and fulfilling requests by guests.

Essential Functions

• Answer questions about food and drinks, including ingredients, preparation, and accompanying items.
• Greet newly seated guests in a friendly manner.
• Take drink orders at guest greeting, deliver beverages, and offer appetizers.
• Merchandise menu items, such as appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
• Ring up orders on P.O.S. quickly.
• Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication of guests.
• Attend to guests’ needs when delivering food and check back to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain table by checking drink levels, removing clutter and providing extra napkins if necessary.
• Total the bill and present the check upon removal of the last plate or upon request.
• Maintain an accurate exchange of currency.
• Keep station clean.
• Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully aware of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

Additional Responsibilities

• Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
• The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.
