North Suffolk Community Services Inc. in Boston seeks a Community Support Specialist to engage clients, assist with assessments, and contribute to treatment planning.

The role involves helping clients access housing, transportation, skill-building, money management, and medication administration, with a team of staff in community and group living settings. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelors degree highly preferred.
• MAP and CPR/First Aid certification within five months of hire.
• Massachusetts Driver's License required.
• Bilingual Spanish and American Sign Language skills desired.

Responsabilidades

• Engage people and partner with them to improve health and wellness and promote self-management.
• Gather information about community agencies to assist in services.
• Provide side-by-side support and coaching to help people socialize.
• Organize and lead individual and group social and recreational activities.
• Carry out interventions and action steps from the treatment plan with direct support.
• Collaborate with Housing Coordinators to help locate safe, affordable housing.
• Participate in medication administration per MAP and DMH policies.

Conocimientos

MAP Certification

CPR/First Aid Certified

Massachusetts Driver's License

Bilingual (Spanish & ASL)

Educación
