Job summary

North Suffolk Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Community Support Specialist – ASL to join our team in Boston. The role focuses on engagement, assessment, and treatment planning to support individuals across community and group living environments.

You will work with a dedicated team to address housing, transportation, skills, money management, and medication administration, emphasizing self-directed living and person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• American Sign Language fluency is required for this role.
• MAP and CPR/First Aid certified within five months of hire (training provided).
• Massachusetts Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Engage people and partner with them to improve their health and wellness and develop skills affected by mental illness.
• Gather information about community agencies to assist in service provision.
• Provide side-by-side support and coaching to help people socialize.
• Organize and lead individual and group social and recreational activities.
• Carry out treatment plan interventions and direct support in office and community settings.
• Collaborate with Housing Coordinators to help find safe and affordable housing and manage related tasks.
• Participate in medication administration per MAP and DMH policies.
