Job summary

The Y in Central Maryland is seeking a Fitness Coach to deliver excellent services to members, guests, and program participants under the supervision of the Fitness Director.

The role focuses on highly engaging fitness appointments, member use, and events, while maintaining a safe environment and enforcing center policies with empathy.

You will build relationships, promote wellness goals, and embody the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in daily interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent services to members, guest, and program participants in the Y center, on the phone, and through email exchange
• Engage with members, guests, and program participants with positive, solution-driven interaction
• Conduct high quality fitness appointments and help members establish good workout habits
• Promote a professional image and maintain a clean, safe environment at all times
• Promote the YMCA values and assist in meetings as assigned
