Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking a Volleyball Coach for the Minnetonka Community Education Center (MCEC). The role runs November through May with two weekly practices and weekend tournaments under a stipend arrangement, and no medical or dental benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior volleyball coaching experience required.
• Proven ability to teach fundamental volleyball skills.
• Strong communication with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to high standards of the program.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance for all volleyball participants.
• Attend and coach practices, weekend tournaments, and community events.
• Collaborate with coaches to organize, set-up, and ensure a safe practice or competition.
• Help all participants to develop to their full potential.
• Implement age-appropriate program philosophies, goals, policy and procedures.
• Ensure that all participants follow Minnetonka School District guidelines and code of conduct.
• Promote sportsmanship and respect for judges, teams, parents, fans, athletes, administrators and fellow competitors.
