Job summary

Livingston County operates the Livingston Essential Transportation Service (L.E.T.S.) to provide dial-a-ride and regional medical transportation for residents in Livingston County and neighboring counties. This role delivers safe, customer-focused transportation by bus, van, or County vehicle, with some evening shifts possible.

The driver position requires a high school diploma or GED, a Michigan CDL Class C with passenger endorsement, and successful completion of DOT physical and drug screen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient transportation to the public in and around the county.
• Maintain logs of trips, fares, fuel, and mileage.
• Assist passengers, including those with special needs, and operate accessibility equipment as required.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
