Job summary

Regional Transit Service (RTS) Livingston is hiring a bus operator to deliver safe, reliable service on designated routes in Livingston County, NY. The position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with paid training and a comprehensive benefits package.

You must hold a NY State CDL with Passenger endorsement (Class A/B/C) or be in training; a clean driving record and excellent customer service are required, with the ability to pass a post-offer 19A physical.

Qualifications

• Valid NY State Commercial Driver's License (Class A, B, or C) with Passenger endorsement and no seating restrictions preferred. If not fully licensed, we will train you (Must have a Class B permit with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements prior to start date).
• Clean driving record and at least 5 years of regular Class D driving experience required.
• Excellent customer service skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Operates a bus or other revenue service vehicle on designated routes and schedules, assisting customers with boarding and exiting as needed.
• Complete required trip logs, report vehicle malfunctions, and conduct pre-trip inspections; paid training provided.
