Job summary

Omni Family of Services Tennessee Inc is seeking a Community Therapist for the FITT program. The role involves delivering in-home therapeutic services to youth and families with a focused caseload and collaborative teamwork.

The position emphasizes trauma-informed practice, coordination with the Family Support Specialist, and participation in ongoing staff trainings to support safety, healing, and family empowerment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a mental health field with clinical focus.
• Experience applying DSM diagnostics and evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and family counseling in the community using strength-based, trauma-informed approaches.
• Maintain a caseload of 4 youth/families and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with Family Support Specialist to support caregivers/guardians.
• Attend staff meetings and agency trainings as assigned.
• Work with colleagues to achieve program goals.
• Advise on crisis de-escalation and problem-solving strategies.

FITT (Family Intensive Treatment Team) is an intensive, 90-day in-home therapeutic program, for youth who are at risk of out-of-home placement (e.g. hospitalization, residential, foster care). As a FITT Community Therapist, you will utilize a team approach to youth and family support. Position is full time salary but flexible and therapists carry an average caseload of four clients.

As part of the Family Intensive Treatment Team (FITT) you will provide the following:

• Provides individual and family counseling services within the community utilizing a strength-based, trauma informed approach.
• Work in partnership with youth and their families to find common approaches to problem solving, crisis de-escalation and increased effective communication strategies.
• Work closely with Family Support Specialist (FSS) to provide support for caregivers/guardians.
• Maintain a case load of 4 youth/families with services provided
• Assist with on-call rotations
• Attending all staff meetings, agency training and community training as assigned by FITT Director.
• Work collaboratively and constructively with colleagues for accomplishing the goals of the program.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Master's degree in the following areas: mental health counseling, psychology, social work or a behavioral health field with a focus on therapeutic treatment.
• Strong working knowledge of clinical diagnostics using the DSM and interventions to address mental health conditions.
• A passion for working with youth and their families.
