Job summary

Crystal Springs is a residential facility in Assonet, MA, seeking a compassionate, full-time Community Supporter to assist adults with developmental disabilities and help them reach their goals. You will plan indoor and outdoor activities, manage schedules, and support safety and independence.

Shift options are 8:00–16:00 or 12:00–20:00, with pay from $18.00 to $23.98 per hour and a signing bonus up to $2,000.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Capability to obtain Lifeguard and Pool Operator certifications.
• Ability to obtain Special Olympics coach certification.
• Ability to pass a van driving in-service.
• Experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in a habilitation or vocational setting.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience with adults with developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan indoor and outdoor activities for residents and coordinate a variety of programs.
• Develop strategies to maximize use of playgrounds, gym, tree house, sensory room and other facilities.
• Maintain a detailed calendar of events and organize summer schedules.
• Obtain and maintain Lifeguard, Pool Operator, and Special Olympics coach certifications.
• Create a supportive and vibrant environment for adults with developmental disabilities.

ARE YOU THE COMMUNITY SUPPORTER WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

AVERAGE DAY AS A COMMUNITY SUPPORTER

As a Community Supporter, your day will be filled with planning and coordinating a variety of fun and engaging activities, both indoors and outdoors. You'll develop strategies to maximize the use of our playgrounds, gym, tree house, sensory room, and other facilities. You'll keep a detailed calendar of events and ensure that our summer schedules are well-organized. By obtaining and maintaining certifications for Lifeguard, Pool Operator, and Special Olympics coach, you'll ensure the safety and enjoyment of our residents. Your role is all about creating a supportive and vibrant environment for adults with developmental disabilities.

Salary: $18 - $23.98 per hour
