Job summary

Harboroaks is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide one-on-one or group instruction to patients daily. Responsibilities include vehicle checks if driving is required, data collection, and assisting with client meals and training.

Maintain a clean, therapeutic environment and document client behaviours accurately to ensure safety and progress. Qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 21 years old, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily assistance with program activities.
• Perform routine daily van check (tires, gas gauge, etc.) if driving is required and report deficiencies.
• Accurately monitor and submit data collection sheets to supervisor.
• Assist with assessment of clients' strengths and needs as necessary.
• Assist with meal preparation and client training as needed.
• Maintain a neat and orderly facility and promote a therapeutic environment.
• Document and monitor client behaviours accurately (e.g., changes, incidents).
• Encourage independence and participation in activities.
• Provide positive assurance about benefits of treatment and support.

Education
