The Community Support Specialist (CSS) provides direct support, advocacy, and connection to services within a multidisciplinary team, including CCSS, Behavioral Respite Care (RSP), and Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field plus 1 year of experience with SMI adults (state criteria).
• Associate degree in a human services field plus 2 years of experience with SMI adults.
• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years of experience with SMI adults.
• Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) by the State of New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support, advocacy, and assistance to individuals with behavioral health challenges.
• Coordinate and participate in team meetings to review client progress and needs.
• Document assessments, service plans, and incident reports within required timelines.
• Deliver school-, home-, and community-based support services as needed.
• Collaborate with families and professionals to achieve recovery goals.
