Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • CPR/First Aid Red Cross certificate (will obtain on-site after employment).
  • Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of motor vehicle screening required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds is necessary.

Job DetailsJob Location: United Ability - Birmingham, AL 35211$150 SIGN-ON BONUS AFTER COMPLETED TRAINING. UP TO AN ADDITIONAL $450 BONUS AFTER 6 MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT. AN AVERAGE OF 16 HOURS PER WEEK.Position is available to work 1-5 days a week (Monday-Friday). Work schedule between the hours of 7:30am-3:30pm.

United Ability, located in the Oxmoor area of Birmingham, is a program that provides a variety of services to adults with disabilities. We are currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Community Support Professional/Driver providing adults with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy various community activities including small group employment in local businesses. This position has the chance to teach on the go and explore all that our area has to offer. We encourage creativity and utilize a team, collaborative approach. If you are someone with high energy and a passion for helping people, and someone who is career-oriented and looking for more than just a “job”, then you have found your calling. Each day teaching and caring for these individuals in the community will allow you to see how much your work matters!
