First Resources Corp in Sigourney, IA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Community Supports) for two part-time openings. You will help adults with disabilities build skills, stay active, and do tasks that matter to them.

Day program and community hourly shifts, with weekday schedule and flexible hours. Training provided for personal care, crisis prevention, and required notes.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Must possess basic knowledge of computers and computer-based programs.
• Satisfactory results on background checks pertaining to criminal and abuse registries.
• Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions.
• Successfully complete all new hire orientation checklist.
• Satisfactory attend all required trainings by agency.
• Successfully complete the established medication administration training and observe pass medications accordingly.
• Must have access to a telephone.
• Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal auto insurance as required by the State of Iowa and be insurable under the company’s insurance.

Direct Support Professional (Community Supports)

City: Sigourney, IA · Type: Part-time · Openings: 2 · Pay field: $13 to $16 per hour

We have two part-time weekday openings in Sigourney: one in a day program and one providing hourly support in the community. Both are built for people who want daytime-focused work in a small town and a close working relationship with the people they support. You'll help adults with disabilities build skills, stay active, and do the things that matter to them.

Shifts available

• Day program: Tuesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 16 hours a week, no overnights or weekends
• Community hourly: about 20 hours a week, with days and hours that vary based on the people you support

What you'll do

• Support activities and skill building in a day program setting
• Provide hourly one-on-one support in the community
• Assist with personal care, which is part of the day program role
• Keep clear, accurate notes

What you'll bring

Pay: $13 to $16 per hour
