Float Direct Support Professional

City: Bloomfield, IA · Type: Part-time · Openings: 1 · Pay field: $13 to $16 per hour

Want variety instead of a fixed routine? First Resources Corp is hiring one float Direct Support Professional based out of Bloomfield. You'll cover shifts at our homes and programs in Bloomfield, , so you meet more people, learn more routines, and work a schedule that flexes with the region's needs. This is a part-time role.

Shifts available

• Part-time float: Every Saturday 9a-Sunday 9a, Every Tuesday 3p-Wednesday 9a

What you'll do

• Cover shifts at homes and programs and get to know the people we support
• Provide personal care and daily living support following each person's plan
• Document each shift and hand off clearly to the next person

What you'll bring

Pay: $13 to $16 per hour.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent; experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Must possess bask knowledge of computers and computer-based programs.
• Satisfactory results on background checks pertaining to criminal and abuse registries.
• Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions.
• Successfully complete all new hire orientation checklist.
• Satisfactory attend all required trainings by agency.
• Successfully complete the established medication administration training and observe pass medications accordingly.
• Must have access to a telephone.
• Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal auto insurance as required by the State of Iowa and be insurable under the company’s insurance.
