Job summary

Joyous Ventures is seeking a compassionate Driver in East Los Angeles to join our Social Services Team. The role involves transporting participants and staff, delivering meals, and supporting on-site activities to promote housing stability and well-being.

The position requires a California driver’s license with a clean record, First Aid/CPR certification, and at least one year of delivery or passenger driving experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Current California driver's license with a clean driving record.
• DMV driving record printout.
• One year of delivery or passenger driving experience.
• Ability to sit for long periods.
• Residential or institutional setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport program participants to and from locations such as human service locations and medical facilities.
• Assist passengers with mobility devices like wheelchairs and car seats.
• Ensure passenger safety and drive in a safe manner.
• Perform scheduled routes for pickup and drop-off.
• Conduct donation pickups from outside agencies.
• Maintain trip and mileage/gas records.
• Maintain and clean the program vehicle; arrange routine maintenance.
• Provide site support as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
