Job summary

Compcare in Morris Plains, New Jersey, is seeking a Per Diem Community Support Counselor (CHAMP) to support individuals with behavioral health needs. You will implement IRPs, provide IMR services, and contribute to updates of consumer records while working with a multidisciplinary team.

The role involves on-site case management, leading social and therapeutic groups, and crisis intervention as needed. A BSW/BA in psychology or related field and a valid driver's license are required; per diem, 20

BSW in social work, BS/BA in psychology, or a related field.
Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

Responsible for the implementation of IRPs, performing IMR services, and providing continuous input to all changes of consumer IRPs
Provides on-site case management to assigned caseload and supervision to consumers
Facilitates a variety of social, recreational, and therapeutic groups, encourages consumers to participate
Utilizes crisis intervention skills as needed and reports all consumer concerns to program managers
Must be able to follow our agency’s documentation procedures correctly when updating our consumers’ electronic charts
