Job summary

Northeast Arc's GPS program offers in-home and community-based support for adults with developmental disabilities. As a Community Support Coach, you will help individuals build skills for independence, including daily living and social engagement, through person-centered, supportive activities in the Northshore community.

You will work 1:1 with adults under DDS, focusing on growth, safety, and meaningful community participation, with a commitment to confidentiality and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred).
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient technology skills for documentation and clocking in/out.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-home and community-based support for adults with developmental disabilities.
• Accompany and support individuals in accessing community locations (grocery stores, libraries, theaters, restaurants).
• Safely assist and support clients in goal-directed activities (light physical activity, arts and crafts, cooking).
• Complete required documentation and progress notes accurately and timely; clock in/out using required tech.
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow agency policies and procedures.
• Communicate with GPS Program Director regarding progress, concerns, and updates.

Education
