Job summary

Northeast Arc's Guided Personal Supports (GPS) program provides hands-on 1:1 in-home and community-based support for adults with developmental disabilities. You will help individuals grow skills in daily living, community integration, and social engagement to become more independent.

As a Community Support Coach, you work with DDS clients, clocking in using required tech, and documenting progress. The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and timely communication with program leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient technology skills for documentation and clock-in/out.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Must complete and pass all required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-home and community-based support for adults with developmental disabilities.
• Accompany and support individuals in accessing community locations (grocery stores, libraries, theaters, restaurants).
• Assist with goal-directed activities such as light physical activity, arts and crafts, and cooking.
• Complete required documentation and progress notes accurately and timely; clock in/out using required tech.
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow agency policies.
• Communicate progress and concerns to GPS Program Director.
