Job summary

Northeast Arc is seeking a Community Support Coach in Melrose, MA and surrounding areas to provide in-home and community support for adults with developmental disabilities. You will promote skill-building in community integration, life, safety, and social skills, while remaining flexible and creative to meet individual goals.

The role focuses on helping individuals reach independence, with regular documentation, family collaboration, and adherence to program requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and community skills.
• Proficient technology skills for documentation, communication, and clocking in/out.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.
• Ability to stand for periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-home or community support to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with goals, communication, social/recreation, ADL, safety skills; promote independence.
• Maintain regular communication with families, program director, and professionals.
• Collaborate with families on intervention techniques when applicable.
• Help clients access beneficial resources and supports.
• Respect rights of individuals served and complete all required paperwork.
• Attend mandatory trainings for the GPS program and Northeast Arc.
