Tarrant County CSCD is seeking a Community Supervision Officer I to assist with daily supervision of probationers under court orders, aiming to reduce recidivism and promote rehabilitation. You'll manage compliance, respond to violations, and apply evidence-based supervision strategies while maintaining thorough records.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must pass State certification within one year of employment.
• CJAD training hour requirement.
• Valid driver’s license and liability insurance.

Aufgaben

• Meets regularly with probationers/defendants to ensure compliance with court-ordered conditions.
• Conducts state-mandated risk assessments and other assessments as appropriate.
• Conducts home and field visits to monitor probationers’/defendants’ behavior.
• Maintains case management files and documents all interactions with probationers/defendants.
• Prepares violation reports and modifications, attends necessary court proceedings, and testifies as needed.
• Maintains records in compliance with State standards, grant conditions, and department policies and procedures.
• Communicates with referral agencies and victims as needed.
• Completes presentence investigations reports.
• Runs computerized criminal history reports, orders arrest reports, and conducts drivers’ license checks.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
