Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is seeking a responsible Sports Coordinator to assist the Program Director with youth sports programs at our University Park location. You will help grow programs, engage staff, members and the community, and deliver high-quality experiences for children and families.

This part-time position requires availability on weeknights and Saturdays, with compensation ranging from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must understand the basic principles of sports programs (basketball, baseball, soccer, football).
• Able to communicate with players, coaches and parents effectively; maintain a courteous, friendly attitude; be a positive role model.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for long periods.
• Must attend trainings including First Aid/CPR and Child Abuse Awareness within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director with sports programs and expand services to the community.
• Develop new program initiatives to engage youth and families and strengthen community connections.
• Interact with staff, participants, volunteers and the community in a positive and proactive manner.
