Job summary

City of Aurora, Colorado, is seeking dedicated individuals to join the PROS team in a Sports Program Assistant role. The position emphasizes facilitating sports programs, providing excellent customer service, and supporting operations across multiple facilities in Aurora.

The role requires a high school diploma, experience with recreational programs, and the ability to communicate effectively in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with individuals with disabilities in recreation programs or similar activities.
  • Colorado Driver's License with a good driving record preferred; sports officiating certifications desired.

Responsibilities

  • Timely initiation of all activities, games, and programs assigned.
  • Adhere to all schedules provided by Sports Staff (referees, officials, game times, practices).
  • Make decisions regarding crowd control, inclement weather, darkness, and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records for community service individuals, league standings, and part-time staff supervision.
  • Supervise and coordinate leagues, coaches, fields; train, schedule, and supervise umpires; input registrations and form teams.
  • Assist with facility operations duties at ASP or Olympic Park and contribute to website content.
