Job summary

The City of Aurora is seeking a Sports Program Assistant to support the Recreation Division’s sports activities and facilities. You will ensure timely setup, uphold schedules, and assist with registrations and field preparation, all while delivering quality customer service to coaches, parents, and players.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, at least 6 months in recreation, and may need a Colorado driver's license.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma.
• Experience: At least 6 months in recreation programs or similar.
• Preferred: Colorado Driver's License with good driving record; officiating certifications desired.

Responsibilities

• Timely initiation of all activities, games, programs to which they have been assigned.
• Adherence to all schedules provided by Sports Staff.
• Supervise leagues, coaches and fields; training, scheduling and supervising umpires.
• May officiate games and understand rules of baseball/softball.
• Provide excellent customer service to coaches, parents and players.
