Job summary

Center for Disability Services, Inc. in Queensbury, NY is seeking a Community Services Professional to provide individualized support to people with developmental disabilities in homes and community settings.

You will engage in recreational activities, help people learn and practice skills to gain independence, and support them toward their goals in various community environments. The role offers flexible scheduling with a minimum of 5 hours per week and benefits including medical/dental/vision,

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to people with developmental disabilities in the Capital District, in homes or in the community.
• Engage in recreational and community-based activities such as shopping, exercise groups, restaurants & more.
• Provide learning opportunities to support their goal of independence.
