Job summary

Jewish Federation Bay Area is seeking a Community Security Advisor to serve as the security expert for Northern California Jewish organizations. The role includes delivering emergency response training, conducting security assessments, and coordinating with law enforcement to strengthen community resilience.

The position is hybrid, with in-office days Tue–Thu and travel across Northern California, including after-hours responses to incidents as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years in law enforcement, emergency services, military or counter-terrorism work.
• Experience conducting trainings and security assessments.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel across Northern California.
• Experience with ICS/NIMS concepts and response structures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training workshops for Jewish organizations on incident response and emergency protocols.
• Conduct on-site security assessments and advise on physical security improvements.
• Help develop emergency operations plans and security protocols to build institutional resilience.
• Build partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement and emergency services.
• Contribute to strategic direction of the Community Security program.
