Job summary

Comstock Holding Companies, Inc. is seeking a Full Time Security Officer for a Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm schedule in Reston, VA. The role ensures the property is safe, clean, and welcoming for residents, tenants, and guests.

You will conduct hourly patrols, manage access for guests and vendors, enforce safety policies, and coordinate with management during events. A strong customer-service orientation, reliability, and integrity are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• DCJS Certification or ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment.
• Minimum of at least 1 year experience in customer-service related field.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations.
• Flexibility to work after hours and weekends, as needed.
• Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Must be highly credible, trustworthy, and operate with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Complete hourly patrol route of the property.
• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Enforce safety policies and report incidents.
• Conduct routine foot patrols in and around building.
• Assist during events and coordinate with management.
• Maintain the appearance of plaza kiosks and enforce rules.
• Close loading dock doors as needed.
• Report concerns to management.
