Qualifications

• Valid BSIS-issued Guard Card.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid California ID/Driver's License; reliable transportation.
• Experience in military, security, or customer service preferred.
• Genuine desire to work with people experiencing homelessness, including those with mental illness or chemical dependency.
• Exceptional de-escalation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from various backgrounds and those experiencing mental health crises or substance use issues.
• Training in harm reduction, nonviolent communication, motivational interviewing, or similar preferred.

Responsabilités

• Safety and Prevention: Protect the company's property and personnel by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Enforce policies and directive of the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Monitoring, Engagement, and Reporting: Observe alarm systems or video cameras, operate detecting/emergency equipment, investigate disturbances & signs of crime or disorder.
• Crisis Response: Lead in de-escalating critical situations, provide support to individuals in crises, and carry out first aid or CPR if licensed.
• Guest Support: Engage with vulnerable individuals with empathy, kindness, respect, and dignity, and adhere to Silhouette Security Group policies.
