Kids for the Future in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Community School Coordinator to build partnerships with schools, families, and community organizations to expand programs that support student achievement and family well‑being.
You will work with Fairfield City School staff and United Way partners to plan, implement, and sustain a community school approach, lead a Leadership Team, coordinate services, and connect families to key resources.

The Community School Coordinator is a dynamic and mission-driven role focused on creating meaningful connections that help students, families, and communities thrive. The coordinator collaborates with school staff, families, community organizations, and United Way partners to develop and expand programs, services, and resources that support student achievement and family well-being. The Community School Coordinator works with school staff, community partners, and United Way program staff to plan, develop, implement, and sustain a Community School approach to providing programs and services to students, families, and community members. The coordinator works with Fairfield City School staff and community partners to enhance social services and academic supports for students, facilitates active family and community engagement, promotes access to key community resources, and leverages resources to build the capacity for community schools within a Fairfield City School location.

Bachelor’s degree required, with focus in Education or Social Services preferred.
Experience providing program management within education, health or social service agency preferred.
Background in community planning and organizing, volunteer management or project management preferred.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
Must pass a background check.
Position will be located within Fairfield City School facilities.
Some travel and occasional overtime required.
Schedule flexibility is required for late afternoon, evening and weekend events.
