The Breathe Project is seeking a Site Coordinator to implement the Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) model in assigned school sites. You will serve as the primary liaison among schools, families, and community partners to ensure integrated supports align with student needs.

You will coordinate services across four pillars—integrated supports, extended learning time, family/community engagement, and collaborative leadership—while fostering equity and a positive school climate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in education, social work, public administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in youth development, education, or community engagement.
  • Experience coordinating youth, family, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships across diverse communities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data tracking systems.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel.
  • Familiarity with Allegheny and Beaver County neighborhoods is a plus.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed practices.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:
Full-Service Community School (FSCS) Strategy

: A holistic approach to education that integrates academics with health and social services, youth and community development, and family engagement. FSCS's operate as hubs of support, partnering with families, educators, and community organizations to remove barriers to learning and promote student success.

The Site Coordinator plays a central role in implementing the Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) model at their assigned school site. This position serves as the primary liaison between the school, families, and community partners to ensure integrated support services are aligned with student and family needs. The Site Coordinator facilitates collaborative planning, coordinates wraparound service, and fosters a welcoming school climate that promotes equity, academic achievement, and whole-child development.

Key Responsibilities

The Site Coordinator will manage and integrate services within each of the Four Pillars of Community Schools.

1. Integrated Student Supports

  • Identify and coordinate academic, enrichment opportunities, basic needs, and social services to address barriers to learning.
  • Maintain referral system and track service delivery data in collaboration with school staff and community providers.

2. Expanded and Enriched Learning Time

  • Support the development and coordination of high-quality out-of-school time programs, including after-school and summer learning.
  • Partner with educators and providers to align enrichment activities with student interests and academic goals.

3. Family and Community Engagement

  • Build trusting relationships with families and caregivers to foster meaningful engagement in school life.
  • Coordinate events, workshops, and leadership opportunities for students, families, and the community.

4. Collaborative Leadership and Practices

  • Facilitate regular meetings with school leadership, staff, and partners to align goals and monitor progress.
  • Use data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
Working Environment & Schedule
  • School and community based with evening hours required for out-of-school time programming, events and meetings.
  • Travel between school sites and community partner locations may be required.
  • Regular interaction with students, families, school staff, and community partners.
  • Collaborative and mission-driven team culture.
  • Must be willing to use a personal cell phone when working remotely.
