JOB TITLE: COMMUNITY EDUCATION FACILITATOR
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Earned Bachelor's Degree in education, human development,
or related fields.
2. Demonstrated successful experience in education or
community education for a minimum of three years.
3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may
find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Student Services
SUPERVISES: Community Ed Activities Program Manager, Community Ed Field
Manager, Community Ed Program Manager, and Community Ed
Nurse
JOB GOAL: To design, implement, and oversee accessible, enrichment
programs that extend the benefits of the school system's
educational program to the community.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Ability to supervise and evaluate personnel assigned to the area of community
education.
2. Knowledge of current trends and practices in community education.
3. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in written and verbal forms.
4. Computer skills, including experience with modern productivity suites (word
processing, spreadsheets), data tracking, and digital/graphics creation tools.
5. Ability to build, manage, and balance a departmental budget.
6. Knowledge of Board policies and administrative procedures.
7. Physical mobility and visual acuity to visit schools and work sites; ability to bend,
kneel, or squat; ability to lift/carry up to 20lbs; fine motor skills to operate office
equipment.
