Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services in Massachusetts seeks a Safety Specialist to promote health, safety and well-being for adults in our housing programs. The role focuses on welcoming guests, monitoring safety systems, and supporting tenants and staff with calm, professional conduct.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, de-escalation, collaboration with the Program Director, and ensuring privacy and compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work all shifts including weekends.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and logs in all guests, visitors, and community partners.
• Monitors safety systems and cameras from the front desk and supports tenants’ needs.
• Intervenes in crisis situations using good judgement, de-escalation techniques, and calls emergency services as needed.
• Maintains privacy and confidentiality of tenants’ personal health information.
• Communicates in real-time with Program Director and staff at the CCC.
• All other duties as requested by the Program Director.
