Job summary

United Church Homes' Glenwood Community in Marietta, OH, is seeking a dedicated security professional to monitor indoor and outdoor areas, perform checks, secure entry points, and respond to alarms and emergencies to protect residents and staff.

You will work with maintenance during emergencies, escort staff at night, and handle preventative duties like fire extinguisher checks, snow removal, and reporting incidents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of security experience stated in the job description.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must read, write, understand and speak English.
• Able to work with elderly residents, families and vendors; follow Handbook requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuous monitoring of the community to ensure a secure environment.
• Locks external doors and checks locks of buildings.
• Operates and inspects security, fire and maintenance alarms.
• Monitors stairways and responds to emergencies to assist residents.
• Escorts staff during night or early morning hours.
• Delivers resident correspondence during security checks.
• Performs preventative maintenance tasks such as fire extinguisher checks and snow removal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
